The difference

Dry skin is a skin type that produces less natural oil. Dehydrated skin is a temporary condition where water is lacking. Even oily skin can be dehydrated.

Dry skin

  • May feel rough.
  • Shows flaking.
  • Produces little oil.
  • Needs lipids and moisturization.

Dehydrated skin

  • May feel tight.
  • May look dull.
  • May produce oil and still feel uncomfortable.
  • Needs hydration and barrier care.

How to decide what your skin needs

If you are not sure what your skin type is, you can reserve a personalized facial. Your skin will be evaluated before products and techniques are chosen.
