The difference
Dry skin is a skin type that produces less natural oil. Dehydrated skin is a temporary condition where water is lacking. Even oily skin can be dehydrated.
Dry skin
- May feel rough.
- Shows flaking.
- Produces little oil.
- Needs lipids and moisturization.
Dehydrated skin
- May feel tight.
- May look dull.
- May produce oil and still feel uncomfortable.
- Needs hydration and barrier care.
How to decide what your skin needs
